Red Lake Fire Unveils New "Reverse 911" System To Warn Residents Quickly In Emergencies
Tue. Mar 23rd 2010

The Red Lake Fire Department operates a state of the art, multi platform system to notify and warn residents of significant events or emergencies in their areas. Residents may opt to receive these urgent messages in a number of ways.

Options include; a phone call, text message, email and Twitter.

The fastest and easiest way to sign up to receive notifications in the event of an emergency is to "follow" us on Twitter. You can opt to have the messages sent to your cell phone as a text message or as an email. You can sign up for a new account in under a minute or login in to your existing Twitter account and go to www.Twitter.com/RedLakeFire. Make sure to set your delivery options to send the message as a text to your cell phone or email.

You may also email us at Reverse911@RedLakeFire.com and give us your name, address, telephone numbers, and anything you think we should know about you or your property. We strongly suggest you do this as a back up, even if you are following us on Twitter. All information is kept strictly confidential and is used only for the "Reverse 911 System", and is not shared with any third party.

The Red Lake Fire Department can not guarantee the timely delivery of messages. In an emergency you should always stay informed and be prepared to evacuate immediately if needed, especially if a wind driven wildfire occurs.
